A leading soft drinks producer wanted to install a high-quality borehole in order to launch a bottled water brand and to increase its overall water supply volume to meet production demand. Zenith Global was commissioned to manage the planning, design, drilling and test pumping of a new borehole for an existing plant in Nigeria.
Zenith Global carried out a geological and hydrogeological assessment of the site and designed a new borehole in accordance with the company’s standards. We managed the tender process for the drilling contract and supervised the construction of a 150-metre deep borehole. A suitable pumping test and monitoring programme was designed and completed, compliant with international standards. A detailed report was also prepared which included an operations and maintenance manual plus a CIP procedure for the borehole.
The report included a groundwater monitoring programme to provide a long-term record of operation from which any issues can be identified and mitigation actions taken before production is impacted. The client has successfully launched its new brand, which is now growing strongly.
