Innovation requires courage and I admire both. Here’s a triple dose of genuine innovation from Suntory, which I read about on foodbev.com last week.

• It’s a 25ml flavour pot called My Bottle Drink Drop. Similar in concept to America’s liquid enhancers, it differs in being a single portion.

• It’s designed to be served hot or cold and the 12 flavour range includes teas and coffees as well as juices.

• It’s accompanied by a dedicated thermos cup, which has a simple compressing lever/handle and retains heat for 2-3 hours.
