Investing in innovation

New funds are appearing all the time to discover and share in the next big thing. Three were announced within 10 days of each other at the end of February:

• $125 million for start-ups from Acre Venture Partners through Campbell Soup

• $210 million new fund from Alliance Consumer Growth

• Creation of Sunrise Strategic Partners.

Quite a crowd for funding. But real success remains as elusive as ever.
