Nobel prize link to drinking milk
Last year, new research showed drinking water during exams improved results. Now there’s evidence to suggest drinking milk may boost the chance of a Nobel Prize.
UK researchers have correlated milk consumption per person and Nobel Prize winners for every 10 million people in 22 countries. They found that the highest milk consumers such as Sweden and Switzerland also had the greatest success with Nobel Prizes. Low milk consumers such as China and Japan fared correspondingly badly.
The reasoning is that “milk is rich in vitamin D” and this “may be linked with improved cognitive function.”
The correlation looks remarkably strong. It’s very close for 15 of the 22 countries. Denmark, Norway, the United Kingdom and Austria do better than expected. The Netherlands and Finland do less well, while Greece seems to have the poorest return of all.
