Retail revolution in France
I’ve been writing about France’s leadership in click and collect “drives” for some time.
Last month, Leclerc published astonishing revealing statistics about its 557 drive outlets in 2014.
• €1,968 million in sales
• 31.4% growth on 2013
• 4.6% of overall group sales
• 40% of total group sales growth
• 4 million customers
• 976,000 customers purchasing 3 or more times a year
• 7,092 average items per store
• €86 average basket consisting of 38 items
• 91.5% of deliveries within 5 minutes
• 4.6% out of stocks.
Figures are even given on a store by store basis. That’s an extraordinary level of transparency and insight.
