Singular achievement

Bottled water is possibly the world’s most giving product. Companies often donate bottles in times of disaster. Many also contribute serious sums to good causes as part of their ethos.

On Tuesday, I chaired Zenith’s 22nd (yes 22nd) annual UK bottled water industry conference. There were lots of highlights, including supermarket buyers openly offering shelf space to speakers presenting strong innovations.

One other thing stood out. It was the achievement of one man, Duncan Goose, who founded One Water only a few years ago. In that short time, his business has raised and contributed:

• £8 million to water projects in Africa, providing
• 2.2 million people with access to safe water.
