Zenith Global’s annual UK Soft Drinks Conference brings together senior industry managers, innovators, retailers, suppliers, opinion formers and advisers to provide the fullest possible one day overview of the latest developments, issues and opportunities. Ellie Webb
Founder of Caleño
Ellie hails from Colombia where happiness and joy is an attitude and way of life; it is in all of us and can be found in the simplest of things, all year round.
When on a dance night out with friends, Ellie realised that not drinking sometimes came with losing that sense of joy - the colour, the energy and the laughs we share with other people.
She launched Caleño – a tropical alcohol-free spirit – to bring the ingredients, colours, music and [energy/smiles] of Latin America to not drinking.
Prior to launching Caleño, Ellie worked in the drinks industry for 4-5 years, for the UK’s largest drinks distributor, Matthew Clark. She was instrumental in revolutionising the format for Matthew Clark’s experiential trade tasting events, attracting 5,000 customers annually, and also led the On-Trade marketing campaign for the UK's largest beer launch for the past 20 years, Bud Light.
Prior to Matthew Clark, Ellie worked for a Shopper Marketing agency where she account managed key revenue business accounts including; Nestlé, GSK, and Estee Lauder, delivering branded and category in-store activations across travel and domestic markets.
Jon Woods
General Manager of Coca-Cola Great Britain
Jon began his career at Cadbury Schweppes, where he spent eight years in a variety of Sales and Marketing roles. In 1997 he moved to Inbev, the world’s largest Brewer, before joining Coca-Cola in 2005 as Business Development Director.

Head of Sustainability for Coca-Cola European Partners
Nick Brown is Head of Sustainability for Coca-Cola European Partners in the UK, leading the company’s work on Sustainable Packaging, Community Programmes, Water stewardship, Energy & Climate Change, and Sustainable Agriculture.
Melanie Foster
Team Leader - Producer Responsibility at Department for Environment, Food & Rural Affairs
Melanie has worked on Resources and Waste policy since 2014. She currently leads on packaging and introducing a Deposit Return Scheme in Defra.

Alex Carlton is Co-Founder and CEO of Stryyk.com the distilled non alcoholic spirit company that launched in Autumn 2018. Previously Alex founded Funkin Cocktails in 1999.
Funkin become the UK’s brand leader in cocktail purees and mixers and is available in over 30 countries globally with offices in London and Los Angeles, Alex sold Funkin in 2015 to AG Barr, owners of Irn Bru, Rubicon, Ka and Rock Star Energy Drink.
Alex has always had his finger on the pulse and prides himself in being a forward thinker, a natural networker and a strategic consultant helping bring brands to life.

As Commercial Director of Innocent Drinks in the UK, John is responsible for the three main routes to market: Grocery, Out of Home and Field Sales.

In 2010, a guy called Jim Cregan from the South Coast of England created Jimmy’s Iced Coffee, a range of awesome ready-drink-iced coffees which can now be found in great fridges across the UK and beyond.
Jim now runs Jimmy’s Iced Coffee which is based in Bournemouth, England. He started the business with his sister and they now lead a team of over 20 crew, have 6 products and counting and do some great stuff helping the younger generation become inspired to do awesome things. They make awesome products, donate 1% of profits to charity through their Keep Your Chin Up programme and love a damn fine road trip.

Luke joined Jimmy’s in 2015. As the company’s first employee, alongside assisting with the accounts, Luke was involved in the operations side from day one.

As Business Transformation Manager at Lucozade Ribena Suntory, Jo’s remit is to mitigate the environmental impact of the manufacturer’s soft drinks packaging.
With marketing experience gained working on national brands such as McVitie’s, Wrigley’s and Ribena, Jo’s work arrives at practical solutions through consumer insight and in-depth industry research.
Dr Marnie Millard
Chief Executive Officer of Nichols plc
Marnie is Group Chief Executive for Nichols PLC. She joined the company in 2012 as Managing Director of the UK Soft Drinks Division and was appointed to her current role in May 2013.
Nichols plc is the home of Vimto, a soft drink which was established in 1908 by John Noel Nichols and today has a retail brand value of £90m. The business operates internationally and turnover for the group is £142m. Vimto is represented in more than 85 different countries.
As well as her Executive responsibilities, Marnie is a non-executive Director for Finsbury Foods, non-executive Chairman for UA92 and is Vice President of the Management Board for the BSDA (British Soft Drinks Association) and was recently appointed as an advisor to the Board of Trade.
Marnie was awarded an OBE in the Queen’s Birthday Honours in 2018 in recognition of her contributions to International Trade business in the North West.

David Begg
Founder of Real Kombucha
Real was founded when David Begg had all but given up drinking. He was frustrated by the limited choice for non-drinkers and noticed they were not catered for in any serious, sophisticated manner.
He started a passionate experimentation with different teas, and different processes in order to develop the finest kombucha that he could brew.
Within two years the company has become one of the pioneers of the sober movement and is working to change attitudes towards alcohol in addition to becoming a leading authority on brewing and fermentation.
David studied engineering at university. He was part of the founding team at what became booking.com, founded the high end furniture brand Tom Dixon, the education tech company Magic Town before finding his spiritual home in Real Kombucha.
