Top safety accreditation for Zenith
Zenith International is one of the latest group of successful companies to join a leading edge scheme, designed to help industry improve its safety record. The Bath based specialist food and drink consultancy recently received accreditation from SAFEcontractor, a programme that recognises high standards of health and safety practice amongst UK businesses.
The company's application for SAFEcontractor status was driven by the need for a uniform standard across the business.
"Our clients expect and demand the highest standards of health and safety", commented Zenith Water & Environment Director Dr Ric Horobin. "As with ISO 9001 accreditation, which we also hold, achieving SAFEcontractor status is a testament to the quality of work carried out by all our team."
The SAFEcontractor scheme is operated by international safety, health and environment risk management specialists, the National Britannia Group. Although applicable to most sectors, it is particularly relevant to the food manufacturing and leisure industries, both of which are major users of contractors. To obtain accreditation, businesses undergo a vetting process which examines health and safety procedures as well as their track record for safe practice. Those companies meeting the high standard are included on a database, which is accessible at www.safecontractor.com.
